OUR HISTORY

O'Sensei Georges Sylvain, 10th Degree Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt and the founder of the Can-Ryu Jiu-Jitsu System, retired in 2008 after 50 years of teaching Jiu-Jitsu.


He turned over the complete responsibilities of the Canadian Jiu-Jitsu Union’s objectives, operations, management and administration to Ed Hiscoe, Hanshi.


Ed Hiscoe Hanshi, Canadian Jiu-Jitsu Union President, continues to oversee the the CJJU operations from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. 


Soke Steve Hiscoe, Vice President of the Canadian Jiu-Jitsu Union, operates his Dojo in Chilliwack British Columbia.
