Leadership
Ed and Steve Hiscoe have been training and teaching the Canadian System of Jiu-Jitsu for close to 50 years. They are the first Canadian father and son pair to achieve the rank of Shodan (1st degree black belt) at the same time. (Promoted by Hanshi John Therien, January 1983) They were also promoted to the rank of Godan (5th degree black belt) at the same time. (Promoted by Professor Georges Sylvain, October 1997) In 2012, these assume the responsibilities of continuing to promote the legacy of the Canadian System of Jiu-Jitsu as developed by O'Sensei Georges Sylvain. Their collective goal is to further promote the professional development of Jiu-Jitsu teachers.
