Dan Phillips,

2022 November 5th - The Canadian Jiu-Jitsu Union is honoured to recognize that Sensei Dan Phillips was promoted to 2nd degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.  Dan was promoted by Professor Pedro Sauer in Boise Idaho at the Team Rhino headquarters.

2022 November 5th - The Canadian Jiu-Jitsu Union is honoured to recognize that Renshi Ari Knazan was promoted to 2nd degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.  Ari was promoted by Professor Pedro Sauer in Boise Idaho at the Team Rhino headquarters.

2022 November 5th - The Canadian Jiu-Jitsu Union is honoured to recognize Seamark Hanshi and Sadohana Dojo for being in operation for 25 years.  This is a great achievement and a testament to the quality of instruction and leadership Seamark Hanshi is known for.

2022 November 4th - Promoted to the rank of Shodan (1st Dan) in the Canadian System of Jiu-Jitsu by Steven Hiscoe Soke and Ian Clark Sensei.  Awarded in Chilliwack BC.

2022 August 21th - Promoted to the rank of Shodan (1st Dan) in the Ryu Bu Kan Goshin Jiu-Jitsu by Ari Knazan, Renshi and certified Steven Hiscoe, Soke.  Awarded in Victoria BC.

2021 March 8th - Awarded the title of Soke.  Presented by Ed Hiscoe, Hanshi upon his retirement from the day to day operations of the Canadian Jiu-Jitsu Union.

2020 December 31 - Promoted to Kudan (9th Degree Black Belt).  Presentation by Lynn Sylvain (daughter of O'Sensei Georges Sylvain Founder of Can-Ryu Jiu-Jitsu)  Awarded as per instruction of O'Sensei upon his death.
